I have built my EFT practitioner business to span all 6 continents and enjoy an income over 5 figures every month. If a spiritual healer, mother of 5, can do this beginning part time, then anybody can do it.
I include below the very same steps I use –keep in mind everything I do has to be easy.
Here are my 10 Steps to Building a Successful EFT Practice for EFT Practitioners —
Step 1: You must have a passion for EFT and helping others
If you get into EFT just because you see the potential for big bucks and don’t have the heart to match, forget it. Your clients will smell you a mile away and your business will never get off the ground.
On the other hand, if you have the passion for EFT and compassion for people, but don’t have a commitment to the business end–you are in trouble.
There is a fine balance between heart and head. Lucky you, using EFT you can bring you into balance.
Clear any issues you have with worthiness, shyness etc.
Forgive yourself often and realize this is a work in progress.
Step 2: Get the EFT Books — you can learn A LOT from them
Every time I review the books I am amazed at the new info I get.
Make watching the books a priority, an investment in yourself and your business.
You can learn how to tap on yourself and others simply through reading these books.
Step 3: Get like-able — that’s right, tap on yourself with the intention of coming to a place of peace and joy.
Do the “Personal Peace Procedure.” This may not be an overnight thing but it is well worth your while. The more issues you clear, the more you will like yourself. And if you like yourself other people will flock to you. Nobody wants to go see a morose, full of self pity, practitioner.
In other words, get happy with yourself, or at least be working on it real hard before you present yourself to clients. (The work you do on yourself now will be invaluable when you are choosing your niche market)
Step 4: Get a Website.
This is the 21st century, and if you don’t have a website you’re never going to make it big-time. You may think it sounds crazy to get a website before you get experienced but not so, “if you build it they will come.”
To start with, just put the basic info about EFT on your site.
If you think building a website is hard and only for “techies” take a look at mine.
I built it all by myself when I didn’t’t even know how to type.
My site works with a content managment system. Basically if you can use a mouse and a keyboard you can do this with a small learning curve.
Things to look for:
1. Unlimited pages
2. A real person you can call if you need help.
3. Free email addresses so you can have a professional email address instead of a Hotmail, AOL, MSN, or Yahoo email address.
If there is no support team it is not worth the time of day.
Do not use a free blog service for your website.
If you’re not willing to invest a small amount a month in your business, then you might as well hang it up right now. Do you really want to start your business with the cheapest material possible? Be willing to spend at least $20 per month on your website and services. This is nothing to invest for what you get in return.
I would never have been able to get clients on all 6 continents if I did not have a website.
Get one!
Now, listen closely, this is the most important website advice I could ever give you…
NEVER pay someone to create a website for you that you cannot get into and change yourself. Your pocketbook will be married to this person or company forever, plus … you will have to wait for them to get around to do the changes.
Let me explain why this is so vitally important. I learned this the hard way and I don’t want you to have the angst I did.
You will need to change your site often to put new content, testimonies, special events you will be having, special offers etc. You must be able to do that yourself or you will just pull your hair out waiting for someone else to do it.
Step 5: Get some business cards.
There are great inexpensive business card sites like Vista Print and Moo Cards. Use them.
List your name, phone, and website and the topic you want to specialize in. Believe me, you will want to change your card a few times before you find the card that is perfect for you. Always keep some cards in your pocket or purse, you never know when an opportunity to present yourself will come along. A nicely done card makes you look professional.
For the first 50 cards, I recommend you put ‘complimentary 30 minute sessions available’
Later, after you have settled on a specialty you will want to invest and get some really nice cards through a local graphic design business. I suggest you put the tapping spots on the back.
Step 6: Get some general experience.
Now you have a website, even if it is very simple, you have business cards, and you are ready to go.
All this for less than 50 dollars.
Having a website and business cards makes you look more like a professional and that gives you validity.
Otherwise, you could look like some goober just wanting to practice on un-suspecting victims. Speaking of victims, I recommend practicing on total strangers more than your family and friends…why?
Because strangers don’t have as much “writing on their walls” about you. It is my personal experience that strangers are much easier to work with and are open to results more than most family members. (More about how to attract these strangers to practice on later).
Step 7: Identify your niche.
Specializing in a certain area will get you far more clients than trying to please everybody. Here are two ways to easily identify what your niche market could be.
#1 What is your expertise?
If you did your homework in step 3, you have worked on yourself a lot.
That makes you an expert in whatever your biggest problems were.
What were your biggest issues?
How did you tap on those?
See there … you are an expert and you already have experience in clearing your own stuff.
What aspects came up for you?
What positive “choices” did you make?
#2 What gives your heart the greatest joy?
Maybe there is something you would like to be an expert in but you are not yet. Buy books of all kinds on that topic and make yourself an expert. It is easy to convert the issues around any topic to tappable issues.
I have never found any topic I could not turn into a tapping spree!
Step 8: Get some experience in your niche.
I recommend you give complimentary sessions until you feel comfortable charging.
You are not doing this for free, because you are gaining very valuable hands-on experience. This is a very beautiful exchange of energy.
This is the quickest way to become an expert…get out there and just do it!
Oh yes, I promise to tell you how to attract some strangers to practice on. Pass out your business cards everywhere you go offering a free 20 or 30 minute session to anyone covering your specific EFT topic.
Whatever your niche is … go where those people are and pass out your cards. Offer to give talks to support groups, schools etc.
Oh, and if you feel shy about giving talks, you might want to clear that with EFT and then specialize in “Fear of public speaking”, it is the # 1 fear in America.
Make it your intention to attract only those clients who can be helped by your gifts.
Step 9: Learn to do EFT on the telephone.
99.9% of my EFT business is on the telephone.
Turn some of those people who will be calling you (from your business card handout) into phone clients.
Get a buddy and practice.
Knowing how to do EFT on the telephone will be especially important when we discuss how you can make so much money in one day that, you can just take the rest of the week off.
Step 10: Get a newsletter service.
This is the most cost-effective way of staying in touch.
If you used the site like mine, it has this built in feature for only dollars per month extra.
There are other newsletter services all over the web.
Things to look for:
1. Unlimited or very large subscriber capabilities (some charge you for every hundred subscribers ouch)
2. Tech support when you need it. (If there is no live person connected to any service on the web: RUN the other way.)
You will want to offer visitors to your site, something in exchange for joining your newsletter. The web is full of complimentary things to give away. Make it something everybody will love. Create a simple tapping script pdf if you don’t know what to offer.
The main thing is to set your goal of having a wonderful EFT practice and take a step towards doing it every single day. Ask yourself, “What can I do today to get my practice going?” Don’t quit your day job until you have a steady EFT income coming in. It will not be long if you put some action towards it.
Please tap on your own issues often as a vibrant “you” is the best testimony in the world. As you allow yourself to become excited and passionate about EFT it will draw people to you like a magnet.
The world is waiting for your unique style and your special gifts.
