Attracting Abundance with EFT

For years, I have used a Daily Gratitude List as a part of my EFT tapping practice for myself and I have taught it in EFT abundance workshops. I tap while I am naming what I appreciate. This has several major beneficial effects:

– I raise my positive vibration and improve my mood.

– I bring up surprising tail-enders that are then neutralized with EFT.

– I remember how good my life really is.

It’s the feeling of abundance or wealth that actually produces more abundance in your life. This is the simplest and most often overlooked piece of building prosperity.

The most effective words to start the process for me are:

Thank you, Universe, (or Thank you, God/Spirit/Higher Intelligence, Spirit, The One, Goddess, etc.).

As in basic EFT, you want to be very specific about what you are grateful for and what you want in your life. (A “lot of money” or a “new boyfriend” aren’t very specific and could get you in a lot of trouble. Any “new” boyfriend doesn’t narrow the field down very much!)

Below are 5 variations I particularly enjoy on this theme of appreciation and gratitude:

1. Thank you, Universe (God, Higher Power, Spirit, Higher Self) for the blessings I have in my life RIGHT NOW.

2. I LOVE____________ or I APPRECIATE_________________ or I feel GRATEFUL FOR_____________________. (You may do this exercise as a “list” or as a daily walk or jog, but add tapping while you express the appreciation. Also, try both of these styles as a Gratitude Letter to “the Universe” for all the evidence of prosperity in your life.)

3. Thank you, Universe (God, Higher Power, Universal Intelligence, Source Energy, etc.) for bringing me_____________.” Acting as if through gratitude.

4. “Yes!” tapping to help you feel inspired.

5. “Blessing” Tapping

1 & 2 above are examples of expressing basic gratitude.

You name what you appreciate that is in your life already. You may do this exercise as a “list” while you tap.  Then begin tapping on the side of the hand point as usual, and do a regular round of EFT. Suppose you have been aware of feeling exhausted and having low or no energy recently.

Tapping Example:

Even though I feel exhausted and tired all the time, I deeply and completely accept myself.

Even though I have no energy, I deeply and completely accept who I am right now.

Even though I am tired and exhausted and feel like giving up, I choose to recognize the abundance in my life.

Then tap on the basic sequence of EFT points as usual, naming the problem:

Eyebrow: I feel so tired and exhausted.

Side of Eye: I have no energy and I want to give up.

Under Eye: I’m sick and tired of being sick and tired.

Under Nose: I wonder what emotions are making me so exhausted?

Chin: I feel so tired I could cry.

Collarbone: I’m tired of being tired.

Under the Arm: I am completely out of energy.

Top of Head: I am exhausted and tired all the time.

After you have completed one full round of traditional EFT as indicated above, try the Thank You, Universe statements for this theme of physical fatigue as follows:

Eyebrow: Thank you, Universe, for my incredibly strong body.

Side of Eye: Thank you, Universe, for the stamina of my body.

Under Eye: Thank you, Universe, for my vibrant health.

Under Nose: Thank you, Universe, for allowing me to rely on my body.

Chin: Thank you, Universe, for all the times my body has supported me.

Collarbone: Thank you, Universe, for strength and stamina in my body.

Under the Arm: Thank you, Universe, for my overall good health.

Top of Head: Thank you, Universe, for all the intelligence of my body.

Or use the Thank You, Universe tapping for a variety of things you appreciate:

Eyebrow: Thank you, Universe, for all the energy that I DO have.

Side of Eye: Thank you, Universe, for the overflowing abundance in my life.

Under Eye: Thank you, Universe, for my incredible strength and health.

Under Nose: Thank you, Universe, for such a loving weekend with my family.

Chin: Thank you, Universe, for such a pleasurable work schedule.

Collarbone: Thank you, Universe, for all the many blessings I have.

Under the Arm: Thank you, Universe, for such a peaceful night’s sleep.

Top of Head: Thank you, Universe, for those sharp insights that helped me in my work today.

Then tap:

I LOVE____________ or I APPRECIATE_________________ or I feel GRATEFUL FOR_____________________. 

Suppose you hate your job, despise your boss, and feel trapped at work. Perform a typical EFT round first, and then finish with a few rounds of “I love, I appreciate, or I feel grateful for ___________.”

Even though I am miserable at work, and no one appreciates me, I deeply and completely accept myself anyway.

Even though I feel trapped in this lousy job, I choose to accept who I am and how I feel.

Even though I hate being stuck here every day, I accept who I am and how I feel.

Eyebrow: I hate my job and my boss.

Side of Eye: I’m miserable every day.

Under Eye: It’s not fair to be stuck here.

Under Nose: I feel so stuck.

Chin: It reminds me of that old relationship…

Collarbone: No one appreciates me.

Under the Arm: I feel desperate to get out of here.

Top of Head: I hate my job and feel angry all the time.

Now that you have vehemently expressed your anger and frustration about your situation, move on to some basic gratitude tapping. If you “hear” too many tail-enders surfacing as you state the positive statements, go back and do a few more rounds about how miserable you are!! Say it out loud, really speak your mind…get the energy expressed.

Then move to the gratitude tapping.

Eyebrow: I appreciate who I am.

Side of Eye: I am grateful this job is paying my rent.

Under Eye: I love how good I am at my job.

Under Nose: I appreciate all of my talents on the job.

Chin: I am grateful for so many blessings in my life.

Collarbone: I appreciate who I am and how I think.

Under the Arm: I love knowing I am worthy of appreciation.

Top of Head: I love being employed right now.

3. “Acting as if” Gratitude Tapping.

Acting as if what we want is already here produces phenomenal results as far as abundance is concerned. Remember, when I talk about abundance, I am referring to wealth, prosperity, vibrant health, and profoundly nourishing relationships. The variation of abundance tapping in this part of the series may be a little hard to get used to (since what you want is actually NOT here yet), but I highly recommend flexing this muscle!

Let’s say you are feeling particularly anxious about finances these days.

Construct specific EFT Setup Statements to reflect your feelings and then proceed with standard EFT rounds followed by this variation as follows:

Even though I feel scared about my financial situation, I deeply and completely accept myself anyway.

Even though I feel so anxious when I open my bills, I choose to feel safe and calm.

Even though I have all these fears about money, I accept who I am and how I feel.

Eyebrow: I feel so anxious about my finances.

Side of Eye: I feel short of breath when I think of the bills.

Under Eye: I’m afraid there won’t be enough.

Under Nose: I am constantly anxious about money problems.

Chin: I feel so uptight about my financial situation.

Collarbone: The anxiety is in my chest.

Under the Arm: I feel so stressed out about money.

Top of Head: I am frightened about the future of my finances.

After you have completed one full round of traditional EFT as indicated above, try “Bringing the Future into the Present” tapping. Remember, these things haven’t happened yet, you are acting as if they have already come to you…

Eyebrow: Thank you, Universe (or God), for bringing me such fulfilling professional opportunities.

Side of Eye: Thank you, Universe, for bringing me that resolution to my debt problems.

Under Eye: Thank you, Universe, for bringing me the surprise windfall.

Under Nose: Thank you, Universe, for bringing me unexpected abundance.

Chin: Thank you, Universe, for bringing me those surprise opportunities to earn money.

Collarbone: Thank you, Universe, for bringing me so much prosperity.

Under the Arm: Thank you, Universe, for bringing me so much cash and liquidity.

Top of Head: Thank you, Universe, for bringing me more than enough money this month.

Or use the “Thank you for bringing me” expression for a variety of goodies. Remember, these things haven’t come into your life YET…

Eyebrow: Thank you, God (use any name you wish…), for bringing me that perfect partner!

Side of Eye: Thank you, God, for bringing me the solution to that seemingly impossible problem.

Under Eye: Thank you, God, for bringing me that stupendous raise.

Under Nose: Thank you, Source, for bringing me a perfect celebration with my family.

Chin: Thank you, God, for bringing me the exact book contract I wanted.

Collarbone: Thank you, God, for bringing me the relationship of my dreams.

Under the Arm: Thank you, Source, for bringing me that surprise solution for clearing up this health problem.

Top of Head: Thank you, Universe, for bringing me that brilliant idea for the project at work.

4. Yes Tapping.

Think of the energy of the words, “Yes, Thank You!” What a positive, enormous, expansive feeling I experience when I say that out loud. Now notice how you feel when you start a sentence with “No!”

I love this next variation on tapping–it raises my vibration immediately. It also makes me feel inspired, and I can feel my head, heart, and gut lining up and resonating together.

The fourth version of abundance tapping is “YES, Thank You” tapping to help you feel inspired.

I think everyone might benefit from relieving some pent-up guilt. Choose an incident about which you feel very guilty. On the 0-10 point intensity scale, determine how guilty you feel right now about it when you remember it.

Start tapping on the side of the hand point as usual, and do a regular round of EFT.

Even though I feel guilty about what I did/said, I deeply and completely love and accept myself…Even though I can’t stop feeling guilty about this incident, I deeply and completely love and accept who I am right now…Even though I feel like a bad person because of what I did/said, I deeply and completely love and accept myself.

Then tap on the basic sequence of EFT points as usual, naming the problem:

Eyebrow: I feel so guilty for what I did.

Side of Eye: I shouldn’t have done that, and I feel terrible about it.

Under Eye: I feel so guilty about this incident.

Under Nose: I hate myself for doing it/saying it.

Chin: I feel so guilty it makes me anxious.

Collarbone: I should not be forgiven for this one.

Under the Arm: I feel horrible about this, and won’t forgive myself.

Top of Head: I feel terribly guilty about what I did/said.

Check your number on the SUD level of intensity 0-10 point scale again, and do additional rounds of basic EFT if necessary. Then move on to the Yes, Thank You tapping phrases for an emotional lift.

Eyebrow: Yes, thank you, God, for relieving this guilt.

Side of Eye: Yes, thank you, Universe, for resolving this problem.

Under Eye: Yes, thank you, God, for reminding me, I am a good person.

Under Nose: Yes, thank you for such good friendships in my life.

Chin: Yes, thank you for helping me relieve the guilt.

Collarbone: Yes, thank you for helping me forgive myself.

Under the Arm: Yes, thank you for making me put this into perspective.

Top of Head: Yes, thank you for recognizing it’s okay not to be perfect.

Or just tap and say “Yes” as you name your intentions and desires.

Eyebrow: Yes! I want to feel better.

Side of Eye: Yes! I choose to accept myself.

Under Eye: Yes! I have been appreciating who I am more and more.

Under Nose: Yes! I intend to notice the abundance in my life.

Chin: Yes! I want to notice my vibrant health.

Collarbone: Yes! I intend to be a money magnet this year.

Under the Arm: Yes! I am an excellent friend.

Top of Head: Yes! I appreciate the miracles in my life.

I don’t know what state my personal or professional life would be in emotionally or energetically had I not started using these gratitude exercises so many years ago. 

5. Blessing Tapping:

Start on the side of the hand point as usual and then do one regular round of EFT. Let’s pretend you are having trouble in a romantic relationship (or apply this tapping to the last time you suffered a break-up).

Even though I have this anxiety about my relationship right now, I choose to feel calm and peaceful.

Even though I can’t concentrate because I’m worried we are about to break up, I deeply and completely love and accept myself anyway.

Even though I have such severe anxiety about this relationship right now, I accept and love all of me and how I feel.

 Then tap on the basic sequence of EFT points as usual, naming the problem:

Eyebrow: I’m so anxious he/she is going to break up with me.

Side of Eye: This anxiety is in my chest.

Under Eye: I’m so anxious I can’t sit still.

Under Nose: I feel anxious and nervous and can’t concentrate.

Chin: I feel so anxious I could cry.

Collarbone: I feel helpless and hopeless.

Under the Arm: The anxiety is overwhelming.

Top of Head: I am exhausted from all the anxiety.

After two or three rounds of standard EFT as demonstrated above, finish with one round of “positive” statements to calm yourself and regain your power.

Eyebrow: I have decided I can weather anything.

Side of Eye: I temporarily forgot how strong I am.

Under Eye: I choose to feel calm and peaceful, no matter what.

Under Nose: What if I’m the one who wants to leave?

Chin: I choose to feel calm and relaxed, no matter what happens.

Collarbone: I appreciate all of me, even if he/she doesn’t.

Under the Arm: I appreciate who I am and how I feel.

Top of Head: I am so calm and peaceful right now. 

After you have completed one or two full rounds of traditional EFT followed by some positive statements as indicated above, try the BLESSING tapping as follows:

Eyebrow: I have decided to bless this relationship and what I learned.

Side of Eye: Bless all the good that came from this relationship.

Under Eye: I bless him/her for what I learned.

Under Nose: Bless him/her for teaching me so much.

Chin: Bless all the men (women) who have taught me what I want.

Collarbone: Bless myself for all my courage and stamina.

Under the Arm: I bless the Universe for sending me this person.

Top of Head: Bless him (bless her), bless me, and bless all my past relationships.

Or,just tap and Bless a variety of things in your life:

Eyebrow: I bless who I am and how I feel right now.

Side of Eye: I bless my family and how they love me.

Under Eye: I bless my incredibly strong and healthy body.

Under Nose: I bless all of my friends and wish them love and prosperity.

Chin: Bless all the abundance I already have in my life.

Collarbone: Bless my home and how I live.

Under the Arm: Bless my excellent job, my coworkers and boss.

Top of Head: Bless my mind and how many wonderful ideas it generates.
