Nancy Gnecco is a Licensed Professional Counselor with a master's degree in education. She is an EFT Founding Master and a master trainer for the Association for the Advancement of Meridian Eneergy Therapies (AAMET). Nancy is a Diplomat and mentor in the Association for Comprehensive Energy Psychotherapy (ACEP). She has worked with children and adults for thirty years in public and private settings. Nancy maintains a private therapy practice in Kennebunk, Maine, and offers AAMET-approved workshops and certification in EFT, as well as approved TAT workshops. As a trainer in Tapas Acupressure Technique (TAT), Nancy also teaches Comprehensive Chakra Therapy based on the work of Drs. Anodea Judith and Asha Clinton (AIT). Nancy is also a practitioner in Dynamic Energetic Healing (DEH), having studied with Mary Hammond. Most recently, she is training in an advanced meridian-based technique - Matrix Reimprinting - created by Karl Dawson. Nancy has been teaching energy psychotherapy modalities since 1995. She combines traditional "talk therapy" counseling with dynamic, new power therapies, all of which work to heal emotional and physical issures at their source--the body's energy systems. Health and wellbeing, easing pain and suffering, fun, love and joy have always been very important to me. I was allowed into people's lives in a very deep way with my work as an ICU nurse, and Hospice nurse. These deep connections required support of healing on all levels: physical, mental, emotional and spiritual, for my patients and their loved ones. Medicine was not always holistic, but nursing often was, and I gravitated to the places I could practice holistically. As I became more interested in prevention, I became a high school nurse, hoping to teach wellbeing before illness started. I loved the science of medicine, but clearly, my students with anxiety, suicidal ideations, self injury, trauma and high ACE scores were not being helped enough by conventional medicine. Then, two serious medical diagnoses of my own lead me to EFT. My panic over the threat to my life, and quality of life, was transformed by EFT into hope, peace, self advocacy and a level of problem solving I had never known. As I started understanding my past trauma, and learned how to release this trauma, life became easier and more fun for me, and for those I shared EFT with. I love the collaboration and synergy I feel, between my own mind and body, and between my clients and myself with EFT. I believe deeply that we are our own experts on self healing, and that joy, love and the ability to thrive are what is left when emotional...

Welcome! I am a clinical social worker with a passion for supporting people as they increase self awareness and tap into their own ability to heal themselves. I’ve worked with all kinds of people managing many different challenges. I specialize in trauma, eating disorders, life transitions, depression, and anxiety. My approach is client-centered, strengths- and mindfulness-based. You are the expert of your life, and my job is to witness your process and offer guidance. Building self-compassion and acceptance are key components to recovery and wellness, and I will work with you to nurture these practices. I have been trained in EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing), Acceptance-Commitment Therapy, and Nonviolent Communication. I’m also certified in Emotional Freedom Techniques/Tapping. I am able to draw from over a decade of experience as a Kundalini Yoga teacher to bring mindfulness- and body-based practices into our work together. I work with individuals (trans, non binary, female & male) ages 16 and older. Sessions are held at the lovely Meadow Wind Building, 100 Gray Rd., Falmouth, Maine I am currently accepting new, self pay clients. I offer sliding scale rates, $50-$120. I am currently in the credentialing process with Anthem and will be accepting some other insurances in the near future.
