Rue shares her techniques and thoughts for when a highly sensitive person is using EFT to tap on a sensitive incident.  She feels that it is important to tap beyond just the negative feelings around an incident and get to the deeper root cause of the emotional feelings.

For a highly sensitive person, it is very important to take change work beyond just dissolving the negative feelings about an incident.  Highly sensitive temperament thinking tends to go deeper and be more expansive than most people’s thinking.

You can use EFT tapping to invite yourself into the next step, spiritually and philosophy.

Let your inner spirit open into considering some deeper truths about you as you tap:

Even though that happened, I lvoe and accept myself anyway.  I honor myself for how hard that was.

Even though I like to feel resentful sometimes, I accept who I am and how I feel.  Maybe feeling hurt and resentful is a way I use to feel powerful.

Even though that happened, I choose to feel as good as I can right now, and I ask for heartfelt wisdom to bring healing to this.  I wonder if there are better and more effective ways to feel powerful.

Then tap on the following phrases as you complete one more round of tapping:

I love knowing that I deserve better.

I choose to believe in myself and value my sensitive temperament.

I appreciate that harmony is so important to me.

I love appreciating myself.

I’m grateful for this opportunity to rethink this incident.

I appreciate exactly who I am — being so sensitive could be a gift.

I appreciate all the lessons I have learned.

I am so grateful for all the goodness in my life.

I am glad to have such a fine-tuned guidance system in my feelings.

Check in again, and notice how you feel and think about an incident now.  If you do EFT tapping for just a few minutes on all the little incidents that come up in a day, you will find your life changing dramatically.
