Do You use EFT to Keep Warm During the Winter?

As the leaves continue to change this time of year, our thoughts turn to winter and the dread of feeling cold. EFT fan, Karen Stock, talks about how she uses EFT to combat feeling cold during a Canadian winter.

Winters in Canada are long and cold. But! I have found using emotional freedom techniques (EFT) for fast relief from the cold works wonderfully for me.  When I am involved in outdoor activities and feel that my fingers, toes and/or face are starting to get cold, I then tap on the EFT point on my right middle finger.

Within a minute my cold fingers, toes and face have warmed up again and I can continue with my outdoor winter activities with pleasure.

At times, I have even forgotten that I had cold fingers, toes or face while enjoying a long walk in the winter wonderland surrounding me free from constantly focusing on some cold body part as I struggle to keep it warm.  Keeping warm in cold climates is an important safety factor and EFT provides an excellent solution.

EFT can also help with any remaining fears of cold from childhood traumas where maybe heating your home was a problem, or you were left outside accidentally, or you attempted to walk somewhere and found yourself in danger with the elements, or maybe even your parent’s temperaments changed when winter arrived each year.

You can tap on any of these old traumas, as well as the physical sensation of being cold.

I very quickly tap:

Even though it’s winter, I deeply accept that my hands are warm.

Even though it’s winter, I deeply accept that my fingers are warm.

Even though it’s winter, I deeply accept that my fingertips are warm.

Even though it’s winter, I deeply accept that my feet are warm.

Even though it’s winter, I deeply accept that my toes are warm.

Even though it’s winter, I deeply accept that the tips of my toes are warm.

Even though it’s winter, I deeply accept that my face is warm.

Even though it’s winter, I deeply accept that my cheeks are warm.

Even though it’s winter, I deeply accept that my nose is warm.

Even though I don’t like feeling cold, I deeply and completely accept myself and I can see the beauty of winter that is all around me.

I repeat these sentences a few times and feel the warming effect very fast.
