How to Apply EFT Tapping to Clear Unresolved Dream Issues

Dear EFT Community,

Do you ever wake up with a nagging worry left over from your dreams? See here how Shoshana Garfield uses EFT tapping to deal with issues that have been unresolved during dreamtime.

I have been using this idea for a few months and I love it.  I wanted to share it with others. It is easy to offer as an option for homework for clients and it is great for self-work.

Every morning when I awake, before I get out of bed, I try to recollect my dreams from the night before, but this is an optional step for others–I just happen to enjoy the complexity and color of my dreams!

I muscle test to see if the dreaming of whatever issues I was processing in the night (this does not require you to remember your dreams) was sufficient to resolve the issues (usually a no) or if tapping could resolve the issues (usually a yes).

Then I simply say as my Setup:

Even though I have these unresolved dream issues, I fully and totally love and accept myself, including the parts with these issues!

Even though I’ve got these unresolved issues, whatever they may be, I don’t know, I totally love and accept myself.

Even though some parts of me are holding onto these issues, I thank them for bringing them up in my dreams.  I can and do choose to resolve them with tapping right now.

My Reminder Phrase is:

These unresolved dream issues

I sometimes pepper in “I choose to resolve them” or “I am grateful for the opportunity to resolve them” or “I resolve them now.”

I muscle test after each round to see if these dream issues are all fully resolved at all levels of my being. If a dream issue is not resolved in two or so rounds, it becomes material for more conscious work later.

Because the Setup and Reminders are always pretty much the same, it does not need much conscious attention or even being fully awake. The repetitiveness also makes it easier to do every day.

These dream issues are important. They are difficult enough to need the unconscious processing of dreaming and current enough to demand attention at that moment.

The great thing is that one doesn’t ever need to understand the dreams or even remember them in order to resolve the issues.

I have even gotten to the point where I sometimes “dream tap.” I actually see myself tapping on a dream whilst in the dream!  When I test in the morning after such a night, those are usually the days that the testing shows I have resolved the issues through the process of dreaming.

These days are getting more and more frequent as well.
