When I read these lines in award-winning author, Gary Zukav's book, The Seat of the Soul, they struck a chord with me:

"All psychoses and psychotic breakdown will finally, eventually, be put into its proper language, which is "shattered spirit."

"The body needs rest, and it needs care, but behind every aspect of the health or illness of the body is the energy of the soul. It is the health of the soul that is the true purpose of the human experience. Everything serves that."

When I read this I realized that my soul was indeed unhealthy from being battered and shattered throughout my life.

I decided to try EFT, which I believe is energy-spirit healing anyway.

I call my combining of EFT tapping with The Seat of the Soul my "Soulwork."

When I identify with the statements and use EFT with them, I can feel a profound sense of recognition deep inside my soul, and then a lifting, followed with a quiet peace. It is not getting to core issues, but I have found it to be a general tonic to my energy spirit and often related issues do appear, which I then take note of and tap away.

I tap once a week on different soul issues.

I begin by tapping:

Even though I carry fear in my soul, I deeply and completely accept and forgive myself anyway.

I do a few rounds of the reminder phrase:

This fear in my soul.

Then I tap:

Even though I carry fear in my soul, I choose to release this fear from my soul.

Even though I carry fear in my soul, I choose for my soul to be wonderfully unafraid and quietly at peace.

Even though I have carried this fear in my soul for all these years, I apologize to my soul and now allow it to be free of fear.

Even though I carry so much fear in my body, I deeply and completely accept and forgive myself anyway.

Even though I have carried fear in my soul, body and mind for all this time, I thank my soul, body and mind for the strength, the wisdom and the courage to endure it all.
