Volunteer for This Site:

We need moderators to help moderate discussion groups and answer EFT questions in the comments. We also need translators to help translate EFT stories into other languages.

Here’s how you volunteer–

If you’d like to offer your services as a translator, please email David MacKay. If you are interested in being a moderator, please email support(at)EFTuniverse(dot)com with the specifics of what your expertise and qualifications are for moderating websites.

Contribute Material to EFT Universe:

We want to hear your story about EFT! You can submit your stories of healing and discovery with EFT for consideration for posting on this site. You can also write articles for consideration. You can also submit a video. We will be posting brief video clips showing EFT sessions on a regular basis. Please use the submission portal to submit video, stories and articles.

Story, article, and video submissions are reviewed for relevance, style, and adherence to good EFT practice (focus on specific events, aspects, etc) before being posted. They should be educational rather than commercial. More information is available at the submission portal.

Order The EFT Manual for Your Workplace:

Imagine copies of that cute little book, The EFT Manual, scattered around an office building, hospital, or school. We made the book small, inexpensive, and cute, just so people would hand it out to their friends and colleagues. Consider purchasing a case (40 copies) of The EFT Manual or one of the other books in the EFT manual series (like EFT for PTSD or EFT for Back Pain or EFT for Weight Loss) and sprinkling them around your community. You might be surprised to see your whole town lightening up in the next few weeks, as they shed some of their emotional burdens! You can buy any of the EFT books in bulk for a discount of 50% off the cover price (40 copies per case, plus shipping of $33 per case) by contacting support(at)EFTUniverse(dot)com

Volunteer for Humanitarian Work through EFT Global:

Each year, hundreds of thousands of people are affected by natural and human-caused disasters. They could be helped by early intervention with EFT. The EFT community is committed to forming teams of trained and qualified volunteers to respond to humanitarian crises through the non-profit organization EFT Global. If you’d like to consider going through the training process, please visit the EFT Global Information Center or contact EFT Global Chair Carrie McCabe.

Volunteer to Work With Veterans:

An estimated 300,000 veterans have returned from deployments in Afghanistan and Iraq with PTSD. Many have anxiety and depression and similar problems. If you feel called to offer EFT to these veteransgo to the web site of the Veterans Stress Project and check it out. Click here to volunteer your EFT services for the Veterans Stress Project. There’s also a full-length documentary, called Operation Emotional Freedom, showing the impact on families and communities when vets successfully overcome PTSD with EFT. Click here to see a trailer on the movie’s web site.

Donate to EFT Research:

EFT research costs money, and we need your help to pay for it! The main research institution studying EFT is The National Institute for Integrative Healthcare, a charity registered as a 501(c)(3) non-profit. Research and only research is what gets EFT into hospitals, outpatient clinics, and other medical establishments. Click here to see the exciting EFT research currently underway, and to make a donation (your receipt will say “Soul Medicine Institute”).

If you know someone who tithes their income, or is a benefactor of nonprofits, please share your experiences of EFT with them, and encourage them to donate. If you’re leaving bequests to charities in your will, consider The National Institute for Integrative Healthcare as a very worthy cause advancing the adoption of EFT in primary care facilities.

Post a Comment on a Discussion Group:

Share your experience with EFT on our Discussion Groups. This is the place where you connect one-to-one with others who are passionate about EFT. If you’ve had an insight or a great experience, don’t keep it to yourself! Let others know by posting to the appropriate discussion group.

Let Your Friends Know About EFT:

Do you have a friend who has pain, anxiety, or another problem? Find a story on EFT Universe that might help them, and email your friend a link to the site, and suggest they subscribe to our free weekly newsletter. We’ll send them a free EFT Mini-Manual, and the encouragement they need, week by week, to continue their healing journey.

Edit Wikipedia:

The EFT entry in Wikipedia was vandalized by skeptics around 2004, and is controlled by them. If you would like to edit Wikipedia to help produce an informed and scientific article, see this Google doc that describes how.

Subscribe to Energy Psychology journal:

Energy Psychology: Theory, Research & Treatment is a peer-reviewed professional journal of record for the field of Energy Psychology. You’ll find the latest EFT research published there, as well as fascinating abstracts from many different sources on topics like epigenetics, stress reduction, psychological trauma, best mental health treatments, and energy medicine. Support research by purchasing a subscription to Energy Psychology journal.

Start a Tapping Circle with Tapping Partners:

A tapping partner is someone with whom you share your EFT experiences. You can get together in person with a tapping partner. You can also talk on the phone, via email, or view each other using Skype. You can form a tapping partnership on a social networking site like Facebook or Linkedin. Take a look at the web site for the Woodlands EFT Tappers circle for ideas of how easy it is, and how much fun you can have together. Here’s a link to their advice on starting a group. This article by Sonia Sophia Illig is a wealth of information about how to run a tapping circle effectively. Here’s our current listing of tapping circles.

The idea of a tapping circle is to support each other’s personal transformation by encouraging each other, by sharing insights, and by getting each other back on track when one person feels discouraged. One of the most surprising findings among even the experts is that we often simply forget to tap! A tapping partner reminds you.

If you’ve been using EFT for a long time, you can mentor a new user as a tapping partner. If you’re a new user, you can get support from someone else who knows the ropes. If you’re doing an EFT workshop, you can attend with a tapping partner, to reinforce your experience. If you’re getting certified, you and your tapping partner can study together, “tapping in” the answers as you prepare for the quizzes.

You can also form a Tapping Circle. This is a group of people that gets together regularly to do EFT. If you listen to someone else’s problem who’s tapping, and tap along with them, you’ll often feel better yourself. The world has Twelve Step groups, Mastermind groups, Toastmasters, and thousands of other support groups. We hope to see tens of thousands of EFT Tapping Circles spring up in the coming years!

If You’re a Psychologist, Sign the APA Petition:

EFT Universe is coordinating efforts to establish a presence for EFT within the APA (American Psychological Association). The APA has many divisions, eg Educational Psychologists, Counseling Psychologists, and so on. We’re starting a Special Interest Section on “Energy Psychology and Psychotherapy” within APAs Division 29 (Psychotherapy). We only need 150 APA Division 29 members to sign a petition requesting that the Special Interest Section be established.

If you’re a psychologist, please join Division 29 and sign the petition. Click here for a copy of the form. This is the first step in the eventual formation of an Energy Psychology division. To accomplish that, we need to present the signatures of a thousand APA members to the APA, and we expect to eventually collect that many. The document you download has two signature cards, one for the Special Interest Section, the other for the Division. Please sign, and forward the card to your colleagues to sign too.

Having our own Special Interest Section will open many doors. We will pursue getting EFT listed as an evidence-based practice on the Division 12 web site for Empirically Validated Treatments. We will make the existing journal Energy Psychology: Theory, Research and Treatment (published since its inception to APA standards) the official journal of the Special Interest Section. Members of the Special Interest Section will be a favorable position to counter the vandalization of the EFT listing on Wikipedia by skeptics.

If You’re a College or University Professor:

We need university professors to help introduce EFT research projects in their institutions. Undergraduate psychology classes are often used for behavioral research. Every psychology masters student is required to produce a thesis, and every doctoral student a dissertation. We encourage graduate and post-graduate EFT research projects.

If you’re a professor able to help get an EFT project into your institution, or a grad or post-grad student wanting to design an EFT project, please email the full details to support(at)EFTuniverse(dot)com

Thank you.
